I really dislike public figures that display their bodies but don’t want to admit they got work done. Honestly, I feel like if you’re in the eye of the public, you should come with a disclaimer you got work done. People look to you and damn near kill themselves to get the ass that you just won’t admit you paid for. Confession: My breasts were bought, I got some liposuction, but this ass is real. When you have a public platform you will have your supporters, your neutral parties, and your naysayers. There is always going to be someone that has an objection to what you are trying to do. I’ve heard a lot of interesting speculations about the AWM platform, but today I take the time out to address one that got up under my skin…and to be honest with you, kept me up thinking very hard late last night.
While I don’t believe any masquerader intentionally does this, let’s take a look at some attitudes/perceptions that people may have that contribute to the misappropriation of Caribbean carnival.
