Where to stay for Atlanta Caribbean Carnival

Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Flyer

The downtown Atlanta Caribbean carnival takes place on may 28th, 2022. Want to know where to stay? Let’s explore.

Atlanta carnival used to be one big carival, but there have been two since 2016. And so, the two “Altanta” carnivals culminate one of the larger Caribbean carnival events in the US. If you want to know what’s up with two, click here.

If you have decided to head out to Downtown Atlanta Caribbean carnival, I have information on where you should stay. Some people prefer to stay near the parade route. Some may prefer to stay near the fetes. This blog will help you with both options.

Stay Near the
Atlanta Carnival parade route

Atlanta Caribbean Carnival Parade Route from 2019.

For the past few years, the Atlanta Carnival parade route has ended at Central Park, located at 400 Merrits Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA. That area has served as the entrance for their carnival village.  It has been confirmed by a representative of downtown Atlanta carnival that this parade route will be the same for 2022.

There are several hotels in this area.  If you are the type of person that prefers to stay near the parade route, you can check and book what’s available to you using the widget below.

Stay near the fetes

In my experience with Atlanta carnival and Atlanta dekalb carnival, most of the fetes will take place in Decatur, GA. In fact, a lot of costume distribution locations will be in Decatur, so it may be easier on you to consider staying within that area.  If you prefer to stay near the fetes and costume distribution, check out what’s available using the booking.com widget below. You can even book your hotel in this widget!

Me personally? I already have my hotel booked.  Just haven’t decided which band I’ll be jumping with.

See you on the road!
